God Speaks Our Language, and It Never Fails

This principle took me many years to understand. Growing up, I used to believe that in order to understand God, I needed to be knowledgeable and have an adult-like understanding and language to receive His message. However, as the years passed, I realized I was wrong. God communicates with us in a language that we know, understand, and are used to, and He never fails.

Following the logic of communication, if we look closely at its definition, communication means exchanging information, ideas, messages, thoughts, and even emotions. There is always a sender and a receiver. In order for communication to happen effectively, the sender needs to know the receiver, be aware of their capacity for understanding and their language, and tailor the message so the receiver can understand it. Our Heavenly Father follows this logic on a much deeper level.

He is our Father, and He knows us entirely, even more than we know ourselves. He knows what we need and how we need it. We receive revelation, comfort, and promptings from Him in a language that we can understand. It can come in many ways: words, feelings, impressions, experiences, or even something as simple as a random thought that comes to mind when we least expect it.

I think this is a wonderful reminder that he meets us where we are. It is amazing that we have the opportunity to witness this through our personal experiences and learn how He speaks to us individually. The more we learn how he communicates, the more we can understand His messages and see His hand in our lives.
