What Is Your Most Memorable Writing Assignment?

  Throughout my years studying this career, I have had the chance to complete many writing assignments. While I do not remember all of them, I do remember some of the lessons I learned and how they helped me improve my writing skills.

  The writing assignment I remember the most was an informative essay about the importance of mental health among young adult students. I wrote two years ago, and it was a big challenge for me. It was a long essay that required us to include sources about how to improve mental health and tips and strategies supported by peer-reviewed materials. I had four weeks to work on it because it was the final project and represented a big part of my score.

  Looking back, I learned a lot from this assignment. Of course, I learned more about the topic I was writing about, but I also learned important things about writing. I learned more about organization, APA citations, and the importance of starting an assignment early instead of waiting until the last minute. I also learned how important it is to pay attention to grammar and work hard on proofreading and editing my work.

  This assignment was challenging, but it helped me become a better writer, and I really enjoyed it. It also taught me that good writing takes time and patience, and those are lessons I can continue using in my future assignments and professional career.
