Creating and Consuming Content with a Purpose

  The 13th Article of Faith is an amazing article that serves as a strong guide to making decisions in our lives. The gospel teaches us many important principles, and one of the cornerstones is being honest and doing good to all men.

  This also involves our lives as students and future professionals in the communications field. We will work with all sorts of media and constantly create messages in different formats while working with clients and audiences. We need to follow our values, always be honest in our work, defend those principles, and be true disciples of Christ in every step of our lives, including at work.

  The article also reminds us that we need to seek everything that is virtuous, lovely, or of good report, including what we consume. We should always be mindful of everything that we create and consume. There is so much media and so many messages around us that it can be easy to be tempted to create or consume content that goes against those main principles. So, as future professionals and students, we need to take responsibility for what we create and what we choose to consume. The 13th Article of Faith can help us make better decisions and remember the kind of messages we want to share with the world.
