Sensational News

The media is full of articles available online, and many more are created every hour. Due to this overflow of information, it is harder for journalists to attract people's attention, especially for those that are not well-known.

Journalists and other professionals are always finding ways to catch people's interest. One way to do this is through sensational writing, which uses shocking headlines, exaggerated language, or emotional expressions to appeal to people's curiosity and encourage them to read an article.

Using engaging headlines and emotional language is not necessarily a problem. However, it becomes an ethical issue when they exaggerate or distort information to attract attention. This can not only lead to inaccurate, unreliable information but also mislead other sources that use the article as a source of information.

I strongly believe that news can still be interesting and accurate without exaggerating facts to attract attention. Although it can feel like information needs to be shocking or impactful to be read nowadays, professional writers can still craft interesting stories without exaggerating or misleading people.
